Practical answers about the X API, with the numbers behind them.

• Is the X API free?

The official X API has no free tier. What X's free credits really require, and how far each Twitter API's no-card signup credit goes, measured in tweets.

• How to get a Twitter (X) API key

Step by step: get an X API key and secret, bearer token and access tokens from the X Developer Console, or a single third-party key in a minute. Which credential you need, and your first request.

• Twitter scraper API

Get tweets as JSON without running your own scraper. How a scraper API compares with the official X API and DIY scraping, what 100,000 tweets cost on each, and a Python script that exports a search to CSV.

• How to search tweets by date

Find tweets from a specific day or date range on X with since: and until:, including the end-date catch that hides a day of results. Build the query, open it on X, or export the results through an API.
